Amelia Annen is a filmmaker based in New York City.

Amelia Annen grew up in Northern California and moved to New York City to attend New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts to study theatre. While at NYU she participated in a college comedy, eventually becoming the president of NYU’s only variety comedy group Friends With Dads. Her favorite classes were the poetry classes she took to earn her minor in creative writing. In May 2021 she graduated from NYU with a BFA in Theatre and a minor in creative writing.

In 2022, in her first-year post-graduation, she directed her most recent short film Rural, edited a feature-length film for Stonestreet Studios, and adopted a cat named Corduroy.
